Girls welcome youth
“The highlight for me this season was beating Mounds Park Academy,” said captain and senior Camille Warren. “They are one of our biggest rivals so when we worked hard in every match and won, it was a real accomplishment.”
After seven wins and eight losses last year the tennis team has welcomed many younger girls on the varsity team.
For Warren one of the highlights of tennis is being social and having fun at the same time.
“There are a lot of new players on varsity and it’s fun getting to know all of them and seeing where our team will go,” said Warren.
Captains, senior Bryanna Williamson, Warren and junior Jessamine Von Arx all have different ways of helping their team involvement.
Sophomore Jorie Schwabb beleives in their leadership.
“They [the captains] seem to really love the sport, and they always want us to try our best and have fun.”
