Obesity to increase in U.S., study reports

ï•«

A recent study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine believes that by the year 2030, 42 percent of American adults will be obese, compared to the current rate of 36 percent.

Because of this striving rate of growth, it is estimated that it will cost the United States an additional 550 billion dollars to treat people with health conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.

This rise is attributed to many things, not one specific reason. The key to preventing this problem is to not let people become obese and overweight in the first place. There are many efforts now being done such as health campaigns and improved diet-pills to assist in reducing the issue.
