Girls’ basketball

The girls’ basketball team won their section yet again. With going to state the year before and not losing many players, they were ready to make another run. With a record of 18-7 in the regular season, they headed into sections feeling good about going to state. They had to beat Concordia in the Section 4AA Championship to get to state. They ended up wining 61-54. In the state quarterfinal, they lost a close game in the to Norwood Young America 67-58.

When the season ended, head coach Josh Thurow stepped down after 14 years and announced that Matt Pryor (’11) is to replace him. Pryor coached the Concordia team that lost to Minnehaha in the section finals. Pryor and Thurow shake hands in the background of the photo below. Thurow will remain Minnehaha’s Athletic Director.
