Boys team looks “solid”

State is worth working for

The boys’ cross country team received first place at the Lake City meet on September 18. Similar to girls cross country team, the boys are encouraging each other to do their best and work as hard as they can.

Captain and senior Luke Brown has high expectations for the team.

“This year we definitely have a solid team,” said Brown. “Our team is unified in our goal of winning state and we are working hard to earn that. I think one great thing about our team this year is that we not only have a lot of experienced runners to push each other but also a lot of younger runners to fuel our growth in coming years.”

Having an exciting meet is also motivating the boys’ team to get better and have fun as the season goes on.

“I am looking forward to going up to Duluth in a couple of weeks for a meet called Swain,” said Brown. “It is a very hilly and challenging course but also lots of fun. It will prepare us well for later on in the season.”
