New alpine ski coach

Schaeppi hopes to continue tradition of success

This alpine ski season there will be a new head coach, Brad Schaeppi. A former assistant coach at the Blake School, Schaeppi helped to lead the Bears to third place at the alpine skiing state meet last year.

“Minnehaha Academy seems like a great school, a great opportunity, with a great alpine ski program and an athletic director who is very encouraging,” said Schaeppi, who lives with his wife, Jessica, and 10-month-old son, Asa.

“I’m excited to have Brad on board,” Athletic Director Homar Ramirez said. “He’s got great experience, lots of energy, knowledge about the sport and he helped coach a team that did very well, so that led me to believe that he knows what he’s doing.”
