Fall coffee drinks to satisfy your tastebuds

Starbucks: for drivers

Cinnamon Dolce Latte: hot coffee with flavor bursts of sweet cinnamon and fresh whipped cream hits the spot at Starbucks. I loved how the cinnamon gave me a warm feeling inside. On a cool fall morning as you are headed off to school, this drink will make you feel like you are still tucked under your warm covers in your bed. The cinnamon dolce latte tasted like cinnamon toast crunch but with coffee. It costs $4.25 for a medium. This drink deserves a 9/10.

Salted caramel mocha frappuccino: a limited time fall offer that is worth the price. This drink is blended with mocha sauce, toffee nut syrup, coffee, milk and ice. It is topped off with fresh whipped cream, caramel drizzle and sea salt. The salted caramel mocha frappuccino costs $4.95 for a grande (medium). The price is a little steep but with the flavor that it has, it makes up for it. I loved the blend of chocolate, caramel and sea salt. It made my mouth water just talking about it. This drink is perfect for a day at the mall or a fall afternoon. I would rate this drink a 10/10.

ONLINE BONUS: Iced caramel macchiato: a teenage girl’s classic drink. It features milk, espresso, and finished with a layer of caramel. I thought that this drink had great caramel flavor and not an overpowering coffee flavor. It costs $4.45 (medium/grande), which isn’t bad. An iced caramel macchiato is a great choice for any day, whether it is a hot summer day or a crisp fall morning. I would give this drink a 10/10.

Dunn Brothers: near campus

Pumpkin pie frappe: this drink at Dunn Brothers coffee is a winner. I created this combination because I noticed that they had a pumpkin pie latte as one of their seasonal drinks. I combined a frappe with pumpkin pie as the flavoring, and it was delicious! The warmth that I got from the pumpkin pie spices, the delicate coffee flavor, and the refreshment from the ice made me feel like it is really fall. I think this is my new favorite drink but it could use a little bit more coffee because sometimes the spices would be a little bit overpowering. The pumpkin pie frappe costs $4.49. This drink would be perfect for an after school treat. This drink gets a 9/10.

Caramel mocha: this drink was not the best because it lacked flavor and was not warm, it was lukewarm. In this drink, there is milk, espresso, caramel and chocolate sauce. Usually a mocha is hot and has lots of flavor based on the type you choose. I didn’t taste any caramel or chocolate either. The caramel mocha costs $4.79. I would not suggest getting this at the location near north campus because their service was slow and this drink was not what it was supposed to be. This drink gets a 1/10.
