Dave Eisenmann, new tech director!
Tech director Dave Eisenmann is welcomed to our school with the many other new faces joining Minnehaha Academy this year.
He went to Concordia Moorhead to get his undergraduate degree, and he went to Hamline University to get his master’s. He majored in both elementary education as well as German.
“I had the opportunity to go and be kind of like a student teacher when I was a senior in high school and teach elementary kids,” said Eisenmann. “I was teaching fifth graders for a couple hours each afternoon, and I really enjoyed it.”
Eisenmann also helped out with the youth groups at church and specifically the younger kids, because he especially enjoyed working with them.
Eisenmann said he has “always been interested in education. The technology part started later, when I was using computers with my students.” Prior to Minnehaha Eisenmann had been working in Minnetonka public schools for several years in the technology department.
There is no doubt that he has felt welcomed here.
“I really like the friendly atmosphere of people,” he said. “I love the Christian environment.” Which is something he hadn’t experienced when he worked at public schools.
Coming to a new school, Eisenmann loves meeting new people.
“Tuesday I ran with the cross country team,” he said. They ran from the upper school down to the lower school and then did a hill workout by the lock and dam. He said that all the students were nice, and they prayed before the run.
Eisenmann said he looks forward to meeting new students, adding that he is available to help in his office, right next to the library.
