For the first time in Minnehaha history, the girls softball team had the opportunity to travel in preparation for the upcoming season.

Nineteen girls were selected from the softball program to participate in ESPN’s World of Sports spring training program in Orlando, Florida during spring break.

Over the course of four days, the team played schools from New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. After a successful journey of long practice days and beneficial scrimmages, positivity and enthusiasm consumed the reactions of coaches and players.

“It gave us a huge and needed  jump start to the season,” said Coach Mike DiNardo. “I think we really improved with every game we played. It was a wonderful experience.”
