Boys’ basketball

Posted: April 20, 2018

The boys’ basketball team has done it again: they have gone back to back on winning state championships. The team came into the year with high expectations, and they did not disappoint. With a record of 22-4, they came into the state tournament with the #1 seed. After defeating Jordan by a score of 65-45, the next challenge to overcome was St. Cloud Cathedral. The Redhawks proved too much for Cathedral and won 77-51. Then on came Caledonia. The two teams had played each other earlier in the year and Minnehaha won by only four points, so the expectations for the game were high. However, the Redhawks rolled to an 11 point halftime lead and won the game by a final score of 73-60, winning them their second state title in two years.
