Spring update: boys’ tennis

Posted: April 16, 2018

Losing only one varsity player to graduation, the boys’ tennis team is looking forward to another successful season under the leadership of Mark Norlander, senior captain Nathan Radtke and junior captain Arjun Goswitz.

“Most of us have been on the team for a few years so we all get along well and have a good time,” said freshman Jayven Williamson. “We all have one big team goal and we all try to push each other towards that goal and to do even better things.”

The past few years the boys’ tennis team has lost to SPA in their section final games, but this year coach Norlander is hoping that they’ll having a “more balanced team” and that can help them get more people to go to state this year.

“I believe we have more grit and determination than any teams we are facing due to our circumstances and we’re really going to need to use that as we developing into better and harder working players,” said captain Arjun Goswitz. The boys’ tennis team is one of the only sports this year to play at North Campus.
