Job changes – Robyn Westrem

Posted: October 31, 2017

Robyn Westrem, who has been teaching English at Minnehaha Academy for 19 years, has taken a position as the Library Director, which used to be filled by librarian Bonnie Morris. Westrem is now responsible for the task of rebuilding the collection of books and materials in the library and media center. She still teaches one class, Speech Communication, and remains the department chair for English.

When asked why she decided to take a job in the media center, Westrem said, “I applied because it likely is never going to come up again.” She also described the opportunity as, “…once in a lifetime…” Westrem is not alone working on this task; she’s also working alongside Clare Lubar, the library assistant. Lubar described Westrem as “someone who is excited to learn about the new job.”
