As the week draws to a close, the Minnehaha community prepares for the 2016 Minnehaha Spectacular, an event centered on spending quality time with other M.A. families and students while raising funds for academics, arts and athletics.

This event promises to be entertaining and enjoyable, with activities such as “Heads or Tails”, a bump auction, an opportunity fund and a live auction. There will also be a brief program and time to socialize and enjoy appetizers.

This year, the celebration has a Route 66 theme, based on the historic highway that stretches from Chicago to Los Angeles. To highlight this theme, large semi trucks have been seen around both the North and South campuses of Minnehaha, draped with banners announcing the Spectacular, which will take place on February 27th.

This date also marks the start of the bidding for M.A.’s Online Auction, an interactive online version of the traditional silent auction, which will run until March 6th. All proceeds from the auction will go towards Minnehaha athletic programs, the arts and academics, in addition to the funds raised on Saturday night.

The 2016 Minnehaha Spectacular will be held at Bay & Bay Transportation in Eagan, Saturday February 27th from 6:30-10:00 p.m.
