Increased student numbers show positive impact on Minnehaha

Citing excitement over the new building and the school’s caring community, Minnehaha’s admissions leaders say that student numbers have made quite a jump from last year to this year. Almost 50 new students have enrolled at the upper school this year, they said, with about 30 new students in the freshman class.

Admissions Counselor Jacob Swanson said that the school is experiencing a very “positive growth” which he believes will continue. Swanson also said that although the building is a big plus, it’s the students and teachers that draw interest to incoming students and parents. Minnehaha students are great kids and very accepting, he said, and parents say they can tell that the teachers really do care about their students.

“This year is different and we’re excited to see what will happen,” said Michelle Ulland, admissions director, “so were anticipating more visitors, more people at the open house and especially more students wanting to come shadow.”
