Northern Lights Over The Twin Cities

On November 11, there was a strong geomagnetic storm that allowed viewers as far south as St. Paul and Minneapolis to see the Northern Lights. These are photos from that event. Another night sky event was the Milky Way over the summer. The Milky Way was visible during the summer months, especially in places with low light pollution, like parts of northern Minnesota. Earlier this season, loons were active on northern Minnesota lakes.
