Discussion addresses play issues

By Julia Carle, Talon staff writer

“It”s really important to tell this story, so it doesn’t happen again,“ said Paulita Todhunter, Minnehaha’s diversity director.  After the Saturday matinee performance, Todhunter and Gene Sylvestre, a World War II veteran who helped liberate concentration camps, spoke to the audience about the play’s messages. Sylvestre  recalled the struggles  he saw in the camps, and he discussed how fighting racism and hatred is still very relevant today.
